Captial Area Tennis Association

Capital Area Tennis Association honors Racquet Readers for its work in Literacy Promotion in the Austin Area.The founder and members are all USTA and high school tennis players who have promoted the improtance of reading and a through their sport, a healthy lifestyle.

Racquet Readers was selected as one of the Top Ten Finalists for the Youth Service Challenge: Jefferson Award for Public Service, among several hundred entries.We were honored to even be finalist and hope to live up to the expectations of their challenge, in service to our community

 

Awarded to Racquet Readers for creating an innovative movement in the tennis community that high lights the commitment of a student athlete to community and literacy by founding Racquet Readers.

The Presidential Volunteer Service Award : Presidential recognition is given to an individual or a group for any service to the school, community or nation.

 

 

 

PVSA Silver Award to Sujaan Lal, Sanjit Kumar, Rohan Makhija, Smrithi Mahadevan, and Aarti Bhat for 500 hours of collective service to Racquet readers.
