Every Summer, the Central Texas Tennis Association holds summer tennis camps for over 1500 kids all across Austin at over 23 different sites. At the end of each summer, there is a picnic and tournamnet where all participants in the camp of all ages are invited to compete and enjoy one final day of fun in the sun. Racquet Readers will be in attendance for their second year running, setting up tables with hundreds of books for kids to pick and keep as they get ready to go back to school.

Temple,TX, Friday, August 9, 2013

The McClane's children hospital has requested children's books ranging from 0-6 years of age. Sanjit Kumar, a dedicated member, will be carrying out this delivery on the way to a tennis tournament in Dallas. We are tennis players after all. This will be the third donation to the hospital. We plan to continue our efforts to spread books into every corner of the state that needs them. McClane's uses these books in their play areas where admitted patients and their family's have the opportunity to read.

Donation, December 3, 2013

The Texans in Motion, an organization that promotes car-seat safety for younger kids, has helped us tremendously by carrying our books to their car-seat saftey events. They have also distributed books to children in Head Start programs in counties surrounding Austin.
